Mixed media figurative sculptures

Each Artful Spirit mixed media figurative sculpture is individually crafted combining elements from nature, hand dyed suede, fabrics and special treasures. Dixie gathers her materials on her walks in the forest where she lives. She especially enjoys days when the dye pots are brought out and the soft suede is immersed into her many colored dyes and then hung in the sun to dry. After the drying and gathering is finished, it is time to visit the studio where the Artful Spirits are constructed, embellished and sent out into the world to be enjoyed.

Each Artful Spirit…

• Combines hand-dyed suede with other fabrics and are adorned with delightful finds such as: feathers, shells, weaving materials, beads, charms and natural embellishments
• All sculptures carry a small bag of herbs and a “wee bit of magic” as a personal gift from artist Dixie Ferrer
• Artful Spirits range in size from the 4-inch small but mighty Mini-Spirits to wonderfully magnificent 4 feet high Spirits
• Retail prices range from $34 to $1200+
• Display options: Mini-spirits (4–7 inches high) have jewelry clasps attached for adorning clothing or accessories. Every sculpture has a hanging device for wall display and stands are available for free-form display on a flat surface
