Dick Ferrer’s acrylic painting technique combines strong brush strokes with dramatic composition and value lends itself to his Tribal Art, and plein-aire renderings of his beloved Brown County. Of the latter he focuses on vanishing landmarks or barns, structures and homes of artists who have passed on. His unique touch speaks of soft pastel renderings, wood block prints or fine art batiks.
A longtime admirer of his Crow and Raven brothers, Dick pursues the expression of the behavior we as humans share with our feathered friends. This successful series has brought him accolades and many new collectors. In addition to fine art acrylic paintings Dick creates commissioned pen and ink illustrations which can be seen in many Brown County publications.
